California Destination Imagination.
Destination Imagination (DI) is a challenge program for pre-K, K-12 and university students where students work together to solve open-ended STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) challenges designed to teach the creative process.
Here at California Destination Imagination (CALDI), we aspire to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders with STEAM based challenges & tournaments. Each Challenge enables student teams to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation.
Students work together in teams to generate ideas, research different topics, plan and build their challenge solutions. Team members have the opportunity to explore their curiosities and be creative, while building teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking skills!
Through DI, students become part of a global community of confident creators, where they practice the essential skills needed to thrive in school, in future careers and beyond.
California Destination Imagination is a non-profit, volunteer-led, cause-driven organization.
Parents can volunteer as team managers and form their own team as an after school program! Schools can also sponsor teams. Currently we reach students and parents through school fliers, parent nights, and word of mouth.
